Konstantinos Vasilakos is a performer and composer of Electroacoustic music. He is leading the ITU Sonic Arts Department of the Dr. Erol Üçer Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM). His works involve performance with real time music systems by using gestural devices and live coding. His current research interests include the sonification of scientific data such as the Large Hadron Collider, at CERN, Switzerland. He holds a PhD in Music from Keele University in the UK, and a Masters degree from the Utrecht School of Arts, in Netherlands. His works have been presented in Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey, and the UK. He has collaborated with leading research centers such as CERN, Switzerland, and the Laboratoire ACROE/ICA, at the University of Grenoble, France.
